Irondequoit Pediatrics is excited that Amanda Knapp MD is joining our practice.  We are equally excited to announce the expansion of our office to include dedicated space for our Adolescent Patients, improved Laboratory Facilities, and an enlarged waiting room.

Irondequoit Pediatrics Welcomes Dr. Amanda Knapp

Amanda Knapp, M.D., F.A.A.P. received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2002. She completed her pediatric residency at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong in 2005 and has been in private practice in Rochester since then.

Dr. Knapp says, “I love that I get to take care of kids of all ages, some of whom I’ve known since birth. Walking with families through the joys and struggles of parenting is a great privilege.”

Dianne Cassidy

Dianne is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Childbirth Educator. She became interested in becoming a lactation consultant after breastfeeding her own children. After spending thousands of hours working with new mothers and babies, she was able to sit for the board exam to qualify as an IBCLC. In 2010, Dianne completed her BS in Maternal Child Health/Lactation and in the fall of 2013 completed her MA in Health and Wellness/Lactation.

Douglas Bennett, M.D., F.A.A.P., has been a practicing pediatrician for more than 20 years. He trained and did a year of Chief Residency at Schneider Children's Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center before becoming a full partner in a private practice in Mamaroneck, New York in Westchester County. In 2004, he moved back to Rochester and joined Irondequoit Pediatrics in 2005.

Kristen S. Savage, M.D., F.A.A.P., joined Irondequoit Pediatrics after completing her residency at the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong Memorial Hospital in 2003.
