Spring Update

Despite the prevailing thought that Covid is behind us, it is still lurking and waiting to cause infections. The best way to prevent infections is to continue with appropriate infection control (masking when able, avoiding risky gatherings, hand washing) and to get vaccinated.

We will continue to provide Covid Vaccinations to all our patients and continue to highly recommend vaccination. Once approved for ages 6-months and older, we will provide vaccine clinics so your child can get vaccinated as soon as possible. We will always be available to discuss with you the advantages and disadvantages of Covid vaccination. Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines

Are you fully vaccinated and boosted OR fully vaccinated and not yet eligible for a booster?

If you test positive for COVID:

You need to isolate for 5 days. This period begins the day after you started having symptoms or, if you are asymptomatic, the day after you took your COVID test. (i.e., the day symptoms started is Day 0, the next day is Day 1, etc.)

If you are asymptomatic at the end of 5 days or your symptoms are resolving, your isolation ends. However, you still need to wear a well-fitting mask when around other people for another 5 days. If you cannot tolerate a mask or you still have symptoms, you need to stay in isolation for 5 more days.

If you are exposed to someone with COVID and asymptomatic:

No quarantine is required, but you should wear a well-fitting mask when around others for 10 days starting with the date of your last exposure. If symptoms appear, quarantine and seek testing. Quarantine ends if the test is negative or, if testing is not done, you isolate according to the guidance above.

Are you not fully vaccinated OR fully vaccinated and eligible for a booster, but not yet boosted?

For those unvaccinated, starting with the date of your last exposure as Day 0, you need to quarantine for 5 days and wear a well-fitting mask around other people for 5 more days.

For those vaccinated but not yet boosted despite eligibility, you do not need to quarantine, but you to monitor for symptoms for 10 days and CANNOT participate in extracurricular activities.

Office Visit Policy

Although we would love to no longer deal with the highly contagious COVID19 virus, it is still here. As a medical facility, we are at a higher risk for COVID19. We do not want either our patients or our staff to get or transmit COVID19. We are beginning to have more “in-office” sick visits because we think it is important to see our patients in person when ever possible, but we need to minimize the risk of transmission. To do this, we:

  • Will still require everyone to wear masks at all times (even while you are waiting for the provider in the exam room) - - please remember to bring your own mask since we have a limited supply to provide

  • Will still require everyone to text to 1-585-310-2436 when you arrive, and our Patient Ambassador will text you back when you can enter our office

  • Want you remind you that we are available 7-days a week, 365-days a year with a doctor in the office every day.

  • Want to remind you that there is always someone to talk to - doctor, triage nurse, answering service triage (overnight)

  • Encourage you to use the portal to message us for non-urgent issues
